1. Welcome to Rent Your Crush
Rent Your Crush is a marketplace that connects verified companions ("Crushes" / "Creators") with members ("Users") who want to book strictly public, platonic social hangouts. By accessing or using the platform, you agree to these Terms and our Community Guidelines.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract. All members must complete identity verification before they can book, list, or message. We reserve the right to suspend or remove any account that provides false information or violates these terms.
3. Strictly Public, Strictly Companion
All bookings must take place in public venues such as cafés, restaurants, parks, museums, or other safe, visible locations. Private or residential meetings are prohibited. The platform is for companionship and social hangouts only; any solicitation, exchange, or arrangement of services beyond platonic public companionship is strictly forbidden and will result in immediate account termination and forfeiture of any pending funds.
4. Accounts & Verification
Users and Creators must provide accurate identity information and pass our verification checks. You may not share your account, impersonate another person, or create multiple accounts to circumvent suspension or verification. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
5. Payments & Subscriptions
Payments are processed through our payment provider. Creator subscription fees are charged on a recurring basis according to the tier you select. User subscription fees grant access to additional features and are charged monthly. Hangout fees are collected at booking and held in escrow until the hangout is marked complete by both parties. All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated in our cancellation policy.
6. Cancellations & Refunds
Cancellations must be made through the platform. If a booking is cancelled before the scheduled hangout, any held funds may be returned to the User minus applicable platform fees. If a Creator cancels, the User is refunded in full. No-shows are not eligible for refund.
7. Safety & Conduct
Harassment, threats, discrimination, solicitation, or any unsafe behavior is prohibited. We provide safety tools including reporting, blocking, and an emergency panic button. If you ever feel unsafe, use the panic button or contact local emergency services immediately. We reserve the right to remove any content or account that violates our safety standards.
8. Content & Intellectual Property
You retain ownership of content you upload, but you grant us a limited license to display it on the platform. You may not upload content that is illegal, infringing, explicit, or violates another person's rights. We may remove content or accounts at our discretion.
9. Limitation of Liability
Rent Your Crush is a booking and communication platform. We are not responsible for the conduct of Users or Creators during or outside of hangouts. You agree to use the platform at your own risk and release Rent Your Crush from claims arising from interactions between members, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
10. Termination
Either you or we may terminate your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the platform ends immediately, and any pending payouts may be forfeited or refunded according to these terms and applicable law.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via email or through the platform. Your continued use of Rent Your Crush after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
